Community Gathering

Subject: Community Gathering – A Conversation on Democracy and Justice

A group of ATA-NC members would like to come together for an informal community discussion on current events in Türkiye, the United States, and around the world. We invite you to join us on Saturday, February 28, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Turkish House.

This gathering will provide a welcoming space to share perspectives on democracy and justice, discuss experiences with civic engagement, and explore grassroots action ideas among like-minded community members. The program will include a moderated panel discussion followed by an interactive audience Q&A.

Sample discussion topics may include:

• What might Mustafa Kemal Atatürk have done today to further strengthen democracy and the implementation of justice?

• The impact of seemingly small civic engagement initiatives

• The importance of the separation of powers

• Reflections on grassroots action and community examples

Konu: Demokrasi ve Adalet Üzerine Topluluk Sohbeti

Bazı ATA-NC üyelerimiz, Türkiye’de, Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’nde ve dünyada yaşanan güncel konular üzerine samimi bir topluluk sohbeti gerçekleştirmek üzere 28 Şubat Cumartesi günü saat 11:00–13:00 arasında Türk Evi’nde bir araya gelmek istemektedir. Sizleri de bu buluşmaya davet ediyoruz.

Bu toplantı; demokrasi ve adalet üzerine düşüncelerin, sivil katılım deneyimlerinin ve taban hareketi fikirlerinin paylaşılabileceği bir ortam sunacaktır. Programda moderatör eşliğinde bir panel ve ardından katılımcıların sorularını yöneltebileceği etkileşimli bir soru-cevap bölümü yer alacaktır.

Ele alınabilecek bazı konular:

• Mustafa Kemal Atatürk bugün demokrasiyi ve adaletin uygulanmasını güçlendirmek için neler yapardı?

• Küçük gibi görünen sivil katılım projelerinin etkisi

• Kuvvetler ayrılığının önemi

• Taban hareketlerine dair örnekler ve değerlendirmeler

Herhangi bir proje ya da sivil katılım deneyimini paylaşmak isteyenler, 26 Şubat Perşembe günü mesai bitimine kadar bilgilerini cubukcu.nihat@gmail.com adresine iletebilirler. Böylece program akışında yer verilebilecektir.
