Chinese Art Exhibition Featuring Xiang Li & Chunmei Tian

Dear ATA-NC Members and Friends,

We are delighted to invite you to a special Final Friday Art Exhibition celebrating the remarkable talents of two Chinese artists, Xiang Li and Chunmei Tian, on May 30, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Turkish House, located at 303 E Durham Rd., Cary, NC 27513.

This exhibit showcases the rich heritage and contemporary interpretations of Chinese art through the distinctive works of two accomplished artists:

Xiang Li

With a Master’s degree in Chinese Painting from Nanjing Normal University and extensive experience in mural preservation and restoration, Xiang Li brings a refined understanding of classical Chinese painting. A member of the China Female Artists Association and a specially appointed painter at the Nanjing Painting and Calligraphy Institute, Xiang is now based in North Carolina and continues to inspire with her graceful, historically rooted artwork.

Chunmei Tian

A graduate of the Dyeing and Weaving Design Department at what is now Tsinghua University’s Academy of Arts & Design, Chunmei Tian merges traditional Chinese ink painting with embroidery to create uniquely textured and vivid works. Her technique—painting with acrylic on fabric and enhancing it with embroidery—bridges cultural craftsmanship with modern artistic expression.
