Water towns around Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou in China are an area filled with manifold legends and myths. The oldest town was built more than 1,000 years ago and thrives with both natural and artificial waterways on which they sit. The ancient water towns of this area are the historical wealth of iconic China. Traveling in those towns, you will find idyllic nature, architecture, history and culture in each corner and picturesque views at every turn.

Dean Ding moved to Raleigh from Shanghai. He is a software engineer, volunteer, ham radio operator and Skywarn spotter. He rides bike, cooks, travels, and, yes, takes PHOTOS always.
