ATA-NC Executive Committee and Director Elections was held on Sunday January 21st of 2012 at the Turk Evi in Cary. There were 33 votes (members and proxies) present.
The meeting started by electing Mr. N. Cubukcu as the meeting chair.
Mr. Cubukcu invited outgoing President Mrs. B.Aydemir and she
presented 2011 activity report. That followed by presentation of the
2011 Financial report by outgoing Treasurer Mr. S. Atakturk. After
that the activity and financial reports were voted and both are
accepted by the attendees with high applause.
After that, Mr. Cubukcu opened the floor for nominations, nominations
collected and after some discussion and debates the nominees for each
position were voted. The following lists the new Executive Committee
and the Directors after each person received unanimous votes of the
attendees:
Executive Committee:

Vice President: Metin Aydemir
Treasurer: Selim Atakturk
Secretary: Esin Atakturk
5th executive member: Nihat Cubukcu

Mr. Cubukcu congratulated the new committee and the directors and
turned over the gavel to Mr. Sahin. Mr Sahin also congratulated by
Mrs. Aydemir and he gave an acceptance speech. After a short meeting
with the directors Mr. Sahin announced that the first monthly BoD
meeting location, time and date will be announced shortly.
